ABOUT MS. TAY
Jia May is a Clinical Psychologist with over 12 years of clinical experience working in diverse settings, such as hospitals, schools and the community across multiple countries (e.g., Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan).
She specialises in diagnostic assessments for autism, ADHD, Learning Disorder, IQ assessments, adaptive behaviour assessments, as well as psychotherapy for work-related stress, grief, anxiety, depression, and parenting-related issues.
Jia May believes in creating a therapeutic space based on respect, acceptance and non-judgment, through paying attention and being mindful of clients’ cultural differences and various life circumstances. She is adept in different therapeutic approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, EFT and mindfulness, recognising the importance of such evidence-based treatment modalities and adjusting them to suit individual clients’ needs and objectives.
Jia May also has a special interest in organisational psychology, and provides both individuals and companies with services such as career consultation and guidance as well as Employment Assistance Programme (EAP), and the identification of at-risk employees.
Additionally, Jia May is an experienced lecturer and trainer, having conducted programs such as parenting training, EQ education and sleep management training for a variety of audience, which includes parents and corporate organisations
